THE LATEST: Arkley has been with Alliant since 2011. In May, the insurer acquired North County Insurance, a provider of commercial and personal insurance based in Escondido. North County President Joseph Giamanco and his team will join Alliant as part of the deal.
BACKGROUND: Arkley oversees insurance and surety operations for owner-controlled and contractor-controlled programs in Alliant’s construction services group. Alliant offers diversified insurance products and services for a range of industries, including construction, aviation, real estate and health care. Arkley was previously chief executive for Aon’s construction operations. He also held executive positions with Marsh & McLennan and Johnson & Higgins. He got his start in 1977 with American International Group.
WORTH NOTING: Arkley has served on the boards of Tutor Perini Corp., Valley Crest Cos. and the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association.
