As president of the Ahmanson Foundation – established in 1952 by his great-uncle Howard Ahmanson – William Ahmanson has steered the foundation for nearly two decades, directing capital grants across the arts, education, health services and programs to support L.A. In 2025, the foundation awarded major grants for L.A. wildfire disaster relief and for arts organizations serving as community recovery centers.

As co-founder of The Broad Foundations, Edythe Broad has devoted her life to transformative philanthropy alongside her late husband Eli. After establishing The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation in 1967 and The Broad Art Foundation in 1984, they committed to full-time giving in 1999, focusing on public K-12 education, scientific and medical research, the arts, and civic transformation in Los Angeles. To date, their investments have exceeded $4 billion. The Broads were also among the first signatories of the Giving Pledge, committing to donate 75% of their wealth.

Jacquelyn Clites assumed her role as the chief executive of the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region in December 2025, marking 14 years with the organization. Clites succeeds Joanne Nowlin, who is retiring after 36 years. Before her new position, Clites served as regional chief executive of the California Gold Country Region. Since 2011, she has focused on advancing the Red Cross mission through workforce empowerment, donor engagement, and community partnerships. She co-chairs the Women in Philanthropy Board Engagement Workgroup and was immediately tasked with briefing the city’s Emergency Operations board on Red Cross structure and wildfire response coordination. Clites currently resides in Los Angeles and enjoys spending time with her Weimaraner, Harper Gray.
