Crown was named the 10th dean of the Graziadio Business School of Pepperdine University in 2022 after around 20 years of experience in leadership at academic institutions like Rollins College, Hawai’i Pacific University, San José State University and the University of Alabama. In 2023, The U.S. News and World Report released its Best Business School Rankings for 2024, and the Graziadio Business School rose 11 spots in the rank from 57 to number 46 under Crown’s leadership. That same year, The Graziadio school was named as one of the best business schools in the nation of 2023, according to the Princeton Review. The same publication ranked it as the fifth-best school for a Master of Business Administration degree for nonprofits (above Harvard’s Business School).
