Zane has served as managing editor of the Business Journal since December 2024 and in that role helps with planning and editing issues and works with reporters in producing their stories. He joined the publication in 2022 and writes about a variety of topics, including professional services, the ports, craft beer and sports franchises. Prior to that, he was a city editor at Outlook News Group, where he oversaw the Glendale News-Press and South Pasadena Review weeklies. Before moving to Los Angeles in 2016, he worked for Gannett and Wick Communications publications in Louisiana. A native of Kent, Ohio, Zane is a 2012 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He lives in South L.A. with his wife and their three dogs.
