JetBlue on Monday announced it is launching non-stop flights between Buffalo, N.Y. and Los Angeles. The new service begins June 16 and will operate year-round.
Philip Stewart, Jet Blue’s manager of corporate communications, said the upstate New York market has been underserved in terms of West Coast-bound non-stop flights. Inbound flights will arrive at Los Angeles International Airport’s Terminal 3 along with Jet Blue’s other routes.
“Buffalo, N.Y. is the fourth largest destination from Los Angeles without nonstop service,” added John Checketts, director route planning at JetBlue. “This new link from Southern California to Western New York will meet demand and offer convenience and value to the travelers who currently have to connect to get to their final destination.”
Seats went on sale Monday, with introductory fares starting at $99. But travel must be booked by Feb 2.
