J. Paul Getty Trust
Fleming is the president and chief executive of the J. Paul Getty Trust. The Trust, which she took over leadership of in 2022, is a private philanthropy that supports visual arts. It has an endowment estimated at $9 billion. Fleming was previously the provost of New York University from 2016 to 2022. During her time at New York University, she strengthened its research capabilities and led its strategy in Europe. Fleming is also an elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, chevalier in the French Legion of Honor and commander in the Greek Order of Beneficence. She was granted honorary Greek citizenship in 2015 for her contributions to Greek culture and society.
