Ahmanson Foundation
Ahmanson serves as the president of the Ahmanson Foundation and is the great-nephew of Howard F. Ahmanson, who co-founded the Ahmanson Foundation with his wife, Dorothy Grannis Ahmanson, in 1952. The organization supports education, the arts and humanities, education and health initiatives in Los Angeles County. This year, the group made large grants to disaster service providers and one arts organization acting as a relief center. In the last year, the Foundation also worked on ways to better the lives of police officers. William Ahmanson is a Level 1 Reserve Police Officer. In November, he was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by Gov. Andy Beshar. Ahmanson has worked in banking and wealth management at Union Bank and Home Savings of America.
