Forge Technologies Moves Headquarters to Los Angeles

San Francisco-based Forge Technologies Inc. is moving its national headquarters to Playa Vista in a bid to be closer to its customer base and absorb employees of its recently acquired startup, Huntington Beach-headquartered ShiftMe Inc. Forge Technologies develops talent sharing, scheduling, and training software for hourly employees, while ShiftMe created a mobile app that lets employees switch shifts. Forge Technologies Chief Executive Stacey Ferreira said in an email Forge is currently hiring staff in L.A.

Faraday Future Facing 11 New Lawsuits

The Verge reports embattled electric vehicle startup Faraday and Future Inc. now faces 11 new lawsuits filed by suppliers and contractors against the Downtown-based firm for unpaid debts and damages. Faraday reported it owed more than $59 million in unpaid bills as of October 2018, although that total could be significantly higher after these recent lawsuits. The largest of the suits against Faraday was filed by German auto contractor Eisenmann Corp., which Faraday hired to build a planned factory in Nevada and left on the hook for $75 million.

Riot Games Hires Chief Diversity Officer

After reports last summer that its workplace contained a vast array of inappropriate employee conduct and gender discrimination, Sawtelle-based Riot Games has hired a chief diversity officer to fix the problem. Angela Roseboro, former head of diversity for Dropbox Inc., will joining the company to “oversee new programs that promote diversity” at Riot, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
