Collective Digital Studio, a digital media management company, is relaunching the tween-friendly YouTube channel Fred.

The revamped Fred Channel will feature original comedy, music, game shows and animation in the guise of creator Lucas Cruikshank’s character Fred Figglehorn, a 6-year-old with “anger management issues.” The Fred Channel, which originally launched in 2008, was YouTube’s first to reach one million subscribers. It currently has more than 2.3 million subscribers and one billion views.

The channel has been active, but with the relaunch it will have more programming and generally aims to be a more entertaining destination.

Clients of Collective Digital Studio, which manages Internet stars, include filmmaker and competitive gamer Freddie Wong, comedienne Hannah Hart and “Interntainer” and advertising duo Rhett and Link.

“The genius of Fred is its wide appeal to a broad audience — kids, tweens, teens and young millennials,” said Gary Binkow, chief content officer at Collective Digital Studio, in a statement. “We believe we have the opportunity to create YouTube’s first original tween and family entertainment destination.”
