Katherine C. Harvey has rejoined Osborn Architects, a Glendale architectural firm, as landscape designer. Harvey was previously a designer at the firm.
Miguel Maio has been promoted to partner in the Santa Monica office of architecture and design firm Wwcot Architects. Maio was previously the firm’s project manager.

City National Bank has named Kristine Negrete vice president and manager of its Marina banking office in Long Beach and Joseph C. Sullivan vice president and manager of its Sunset-Doheny banking office. Negrete was previously vice president and financial sales adviser. Sullivan was a regional business development specialist at Washington Mutual.
Union Bank of California has promoted Adam Bester and Bryan LaCour to senior vice presidents. Bester was previously manager of the bank’s communications and media business. LaCour served as manager of the bank’s entertainment finance group.
Bill Thon has been named director of human resources and recruiting in the Encino office of mortgage banking and brokerage firm Skyline Financial Corp. Thon was previously vice president of national recruiting at Prospect Metrocities Mortgage, a Sherman Oaks-headquartered residential mortgage lender.

Los Angeles County Education Foundation has named Arthur Zeesman president. Zeesman is founder of Zeesman Communications Inc., a Los Angeles firm.
Stephanie Landregan has been named program director for UCLA Extension’s landscape architecture program. Landregan serves as commissioner for the Glendale Historic Preservation Commission and vice chairwoman of the California Landscape Architects Technical Committee.

Vikram M. Pattarkine has joined OriginOil Inc., a Los Angeles-based company that transforms algae to petroleum, as chief technology officer. Pattarkine previously served as senior vice president at Brinjac Engineering Inc., an engineering design and consulting firm in Harrisburg, Pa.

Sarah Anunsen has joined SCS Engineers, a Long Beach-based engineering firm, as senior project engineer. Previously, Anunsen was an engineer for Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County in Whittier.

Terry A. Bateman has been appointed to the board of NTN Buzztime Inc., a Carlsbad-based interactive entertainment company. Bateman is a personal investor for Red Zone Capital, a private equity fund.
Sony Pictures has named Sarajane Smith vice president of corporate communications and employee meetings and events. Erica Wiertz was named vice president of employee communications in its corporate communications department. Smith was previously executive director of corporate communications with the company. Wiertz was executive director of employee communications.

City of Hope in Duarte has hired Deborah Gac as senior vice president of human resources. Gac was previously executive director of human resources operations at Scripps Health in San Diego.
Health Net Inc., a Woodland Hills-based health care company, has named Jonathan Rollins vice president and treasurer. Rollins was previously director at Calyon’s Healthcare Group, a company that provides acquisition financing to noninvestment grade borrowers.

Wayne R. Johnson has been appointed chairman of the California State Bar taxation section’s executive committee. Johnson serves as partner at Valensi Rose PLC, a Century City-based business law firm.
Venable LLP, a Baltimore-based firm, has named John D. Hardy Jr. partner in its Los Angeles office. Hardy was previously partner at O’Melveny & Meyers LLP.
Sacks Glazier Franklin & Lodise LLP, a downtown Los Angeles firm, has hired G. Lisa Wick as associate. Wick was previously a civil and appellate litigator at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges LLP, a downtown L.A.-based business law firm.

Northrop Grumman Corp., a Century City-headquartered global defense and technology company, has hired Lon L. Rains as director of communications for the space technology sector. Rains was previously vice president of Imaginova Trade Publishing, a digital media and commerce company headquartered in New York.
