Eileen F. Ramey has been named national practice leader of Deloitte & Touche LLP’s integrated health group. Ramey, a principal with the firm, will drive the business, human resources and marketing strategy of the group. In addition, Steve Ogren will direct the group’s employer service line. John Stenson will direct its payer/provider service line.

Kelly Patterson has been promoted to professional development manager at the Los Angeles branch of Boston-based Keane Inc.’s information services division. Patterson previously was senior consultant.

R. Carter Freeman has been engaged as financial and operations consultant at Valencia-based Safe Environment Engineering LLP. He will obtain loan and equity capital, help in the recruitment of staff, and coordinate operations development.

Jannine Regis has been hired to head up El Segundo-based Team One Advertising’s business development activities. Regis formerly was vice president and management supervisor for Jordan McGrath’s Milton Bradley and Parker Brothers accounts.

Banking & Finance

Darren W. Hensley has joined Imperial Technology Solutions, a division of Los Angeles-based Imperial Bank, as vice president and director of finance. Hensley, who will be based in Los Angeles, will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining all accounting procedures, systems and controls. He previously served as chief administrative officer for Computer Consultants in Salt Lake City.

Mark D. Benson has been appointed managing director of research and real estate securities analyst with the Los Angeles office of Jefferies & Co. He previously was with Credit Suisse First Boston, where he covered 17 stocks in the real estate sector, monitored commercial real estate and lodging/leisure stocks, and wrote on the real estate and lodging industries.

Jose Budet has been appointed vice president of retail residential lending at Santa Monica-based First Federal Bank of California. He will be responsible for expanding the bank’s home-loan organizations with special emphasis on Community Redevelopment Act lending and the Latino market. Budet founded the Real Estate Bank, and was regional manager in charge of CRA lending for Wells Fargo Bank.

Construction

Leo Bandini, Frank Foellmer, and Forrest Redman have each been promoted to vice presidents at the construction firm of Swinerton & Walberg. Bandini joined the firm in 1985 and currently oversees business development efforts in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Previously, he served as manager of construction services and operations manager. Foellmer, who joined Swinerton & Walberg; in 1980, was previously a superintendent and project manager. Redman currently manages the facilities group, which specializes in educational, institutional, and public works projects. Since joining the Los Angeles office in 1985, he has worked in the capacities of project manager, project executive and operations manager.

Entertainment

Norman Aladjem has been appointed partner at Westwood-based Writers & Artists Agency. Aladjem, who joined the agency in 1995, previously was head of talent. In addition, Marti Blumenthal has been appointed partner. She joined Writers & Artists in 1990, and five years ago she was named co-head of the agency’s literary department.

David Armstrong has been named senior vice president of sales and distribution at MGM International Television. He will oversee sales and distribution of all MGM programming to stations in the international free-television arena. He comes to MGM from USA Networks International, where he served as vice president of programming and acquisition since 1994.

Dan Filie has been appointed senior vice president and executive in charge of dramatic production, worldwide television production, at Universal City-based Universal Television and Networks Group. Filie will be responsible for developing television programming and foreign features worldwide, analyzing television production opportunities for Universal in all scripted genres, and building relationships with key players in territories around the world. Filie previously served as senior vice president of Universal Television Enterprises.

Mark F. Miller has been appointed executive vice president and managing director of Digital Magic Co., a Santa Monica-based post-production and visual effects house. Miller will oversee the company’s expansion. He previously served as president of Unitel Hollywood.

Thomas O. Staggs has been promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer of Burbank-based Walt Disney Co. Staggs will be responsible for controller functions, acquisitions, treasury activities, taxes and investor relations. Previously, he was senior vice president of strategic planning and development. He joined Disney in 1990. In addition, Peter E. Murphy has been promoted to executive vice president and chief strategic officer. He will be responsible for strategic analysis, business development, and long-term planning for the growth of Disney’s global business. Murphy previously was chief financial officer and senior vice president of ABC Inc. In addition, Louis M. Meisinger has been appointed executive vice president and general counsel. He previously was one of the four founding partners of Troop, Meisinger, Steuber & Pasich LLP.

Anthony Venezia has been appointed head of Glendale-based Available Light Ltd.’s new motion graphics division. Venezia will be responsible for spearheading Available Light’s entry into the area of designing and producing titles, logs, and trailer graphics for feature film, television, commercial and music video projects and clients. Venezia previously was owner and founder of Glendale-based Electric Filmworks Inc.

Ed Zeier has been appointed senior vice president of post production at Universal Studios operations group. Zeier previously served as vice president of post production.

Hotels

Fujiko Nakamura has been appointed director of Far East sales for Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites. She will be overseeing leisure tour and travel sales in Asia, to both groups and individual travelers, for the Los Angeles hotel. She previously was director of international sales at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton Hotel.

Rajender K. Chandhok has been appointed staff vice president at Los Angeles-based Times Mirror Co. He will continue to be responsible for administration of the company’s pension and investments, risk management area and management of the Times Mirror/Chandler Trust LLC. Chandhok previously was assistant treasurer of investments and risk management.

Real Estate

Michael C. Branigan has joined Kilroy Realty Corp. as a senior vice president for the company’s Los Angeles area-operations. Branigan will direct development. He previously managed commercial, retail and residential development projects at Los Angeles-based Colony Advisors Inc. Also, Andrew V. Fishburn has joined Kilroy Realty as a senior vice president. He will supervise leasing for commercial development projects in West Los Angeles, Burbank, Calabasas and Thousand Oaks. Fishburn previously was a senior leasing officer with Beacon Properties Corp.

David A. Swartz has joined Arden Realty Inc. as associate general counsel. He will be based in the firm’s corporate headquarters in Los Angeles. He previously was a real estate attorney with Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory LLP.

Allen Trowbridge has joined the Los Angeles office of New York-based Jones Lang Wootton as a director in the corporate & advisory services group. He previously was a senior vice president at Grubb & Ellis, where he provided tenant representation and advisory services. In addition, Stephen Valenziano has joined the firm as a director in the corporate & advisory services group. He previously was a senior vice president at Grubb & Ellis, where he specialized in tenant representation and multi-market transaction management for major corporate accounts.

James S. Weld has joined Sherman Oaks-based Beitler Commercial Realty Service as senior vice president and investment specialist. He previously was senior vice president and regional manager of Value Property Trust’s real estate investment activities in the Western region.

Gary Scott has been named vice president of retail at MBK Southern California Ltd., a division of MBK Real Estate Ltd. Scott, who will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles regional office, will be active in the planning, leasing, design, entitlement and construction of commercial projects throughout the Western United States.
