I was glad to hear that the “West Hollywood: Where Creativity Gets Down to Business” marketing strategy and slogan is being rejuvenated (West Hollywood Inc., May 12, 1997). I would like to note, however, that neither this strategy nor this slogan is “new” as stated in your article.

The strategy was conceived by Carl Stensel, a local architect, and developed through a joint effort of the city and the consulting firm of Economics Research Associates in 1988/89.

I hope this exciting marketing program continues to serve the city well.
