Jay Penske is chairman and chief executive of Penske Media, owner of 16 media brands, including Rolling Stone, WWD, Variety Inc., Robb Report, Sourcing Journal, Deadline.com and others. He also owns and operates Dragon Racing, a leading global racing team in the Formula-E racing series. Penske founded PMC in Los Angeles in 2004, and over the last decade the bicoastal operation has become one of the largest digital media companies in the world, reaching more than 220 million monthly consumers across its brands. PMC also has a portfolio of 175-plus annual live media events and a data services business. Penske previously created, built and sold the fifth-largest portal, Mail.com, to United Internet, and was cofounder of Firefly, the first mobile phone for kids.
