THE LATEST: Over the past year, Thompson has helped design and co- sponsor his firm’s Global Connections Mentoring program, which matches partners and associates with diverse skills. Thompson continues to lead the firm’s Los Angeles office, where his practice focuses on defense of consumer class actions, complex litigation and regulatory investigations in a variety of industries and sectors.
BACKGROUND: Thompson is co-leader of Bryan Cave’s banking disputes practice and the leader of the consumer financial services litigation team. He has defended numerous clients in federal courts across the U.S. against claims of alleged unfair and deceptive business practices, false advertising, and other related claims. He also speaks and writes regularly on such topics as banking regulatory developments and class- action risk mitigation.
WORTH NOTING: Thompson is a member of the executive committee of the board for the Constitutional Rights Foundation. Thompson also is a co-chair of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles Tocqueville Society.
