Mike Gitlin is president and chief executive officer of Downtown’s Capital Group, the largest investment manager in Los Angeles by assets. Before spending the last 11 years at the firm, including leading its fixed-income business, Gitlin was head of fixed income and global head of trading at investment manager T. Rowe Price. The 32-year industry veteran also served as head of Asia-Pacific trading for Credit Suisse Asset Management. Capital Group, managing $3.4 trillion in assets, made several major moves this year, buying the Bank of America Plaza tower, which houses its headquarters, for a reported $210 million and establishing a new East Coast operations hub in Charlotte, North Carolina.
