Clivner leads the downtown and Century City offices of Chicago-based Big Law firm Sidley Austin LLP, which combined is a Top 10 legal operation in L.A. County by attorney headcount. Previously co-leader of Sidley’s private equity as well as its mergers and acquisitions group, Clivner is currently part of the firm’s executive committee. In the past year, Clivner and his firmwide team helped broker the acquisition of Pure Wafer by private equity firm ZM Capital; Ridgeview Partners’ investment in PayRange; and the $186 million sale of 9 Story Media Group by ZM Capital to Scholastic. He is among the firm’s top recruiters, having secured laterals in 20 of its offices, and has led year-over-year growth in his practice areas totaling nearly $1 billion in revenue.
