Wolff has been chief executive and president of Banc of California in Brentwood since 2019 and oversaw its acquisition of PacWest Bancorp in 2023. The $1 billion deal was closed in just over four months making it one of the fastest bank deals of its size in U.S. history. The bank, which has over $33 billion in total assets, specializes primarily in commercial banking. Prior to joining Banc of California, Wolff was executive vice president and general counsel at City National Bank. He previously served as the vice chair at large of the California Bankers Association and is a member of the WSJ CEO Council, the CEO Council of Los Angeles, the Executive Committee of the Mid-Size Bank Coalition of America and the Young Presidents’ Organization.
