The Los Angeles Business Journal proudly hosted the eighth annual CTO Awards event at the City Club LA on Monday, April 22nd. Before launching into the awards ceremony, the event included a panel discussion over dinner, featuring a group of the region’s leading experts in the field to discuss how technology is influencing the business landscape in Southern California. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from the technology and IT experts from a diverse assortment of industries as they discussed current challenges, solutions, trends and best practices.
Paul Flaharty, District President (Robert Half - Technology Staffing Services)As District President for Robert Half, Paul Flaharty oversees operations throughout Los Angeles and Bay Area for the company’s Technology and Creative Group divisions, the leading providers of highly skilled technology and creative professionals. As a 20-year veteran of the staffing industry, Flaharty is a spokesperson for Robert Half and frequently quoted expert on various hiring trends and workplace topics. Flaharty served as moderator for the panel.
Warren Belkin, Regional Director, Southwest (Arista Networks)Warren Belkin is the Regional Director in the Southwest for Arista Networks, founded to pioneer and deliver software-driven cloud networking solutions for large data center storage and computing environments. He has a wide industry background over the past 25 years spanning networking, security and data management with customer facing roles in such companies as Cisco Systems, Newbridge Networks, Illumio and Rubrik.
Derek Peterson, Chief Technology Officer (Boingo Wireless)Derek Peterson, Ph. D., Chief Technology Officer, is responsible for Boingo’s technical vision and strategy. Under his leadership, Boingo is pioneering the adoption and deployment of the latest IT and network technologies including Passpoint, network virtualization and convergence. He is directly responsible for building and operating Boingo’s core technologies and systems, including web applications, client software, networks, authentication, billing, advertising, IPTV, business intelligence and IT infrastructure.

Post’s practice encompasses all areas of general corporate and securities law, including private placements of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital fund formation.
