Claire Marblestone serves as lead counsel in representing a nationally ranked hospital in Orange County. She has represented this client in negotiating numerous service agreements for the hospital and affiliated hospital sites, addressing needs critical to the hospital such as information technology arrangements, clinical services agreements, and clinical trial agreements. These arrangements included assisting the hospital with implementing a home health program that allowed the hospital greater flexibility to meet its patients’ needs during the pandemic and assisting the hospital in establishing a new concierge medical practice incorporating state-of-the-art patient-facing technology to better service the patient population.
Marblestone also provides ongoing strategic counseling to hospital executives on a range of regulatory and compliance matters, including complex licensing issues, health care data privacy incident responses, and issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. Marblestone specializes in advising clients on optimal ways to respond and adapt to the changing regulatory landscape, including changes to federal and state fraud and abuse laws and changes to health care data privacy laws.
Marblestone served as lead health care counsel to an innovative women’s primary care practice in Arizona in connection with a joint venture with a national hospital system. As part of this representation, Marblestone advised the client on health care regulatory and licensing issues relating to the structure of the transaction, drafted and negotiated key transactional documents, and provided ongoing counseling on the operational issues for the joint venture clinic. The joint venture will expand access to comprehensive, holistic women’s healthcare in the Arizona market.
