Dee Dee Owens is a Partner in the Risk Consulting practice at KPMG’s Los Angeles office. She has over 20 years of experience serving clients across the full spectrum of governance, risk and compliance (GRC), including internal audit, risk assessments, system development governance and quality assurance, financial statement attestation support, third party reporting, privacy, and security.
Owens started her career in finance and accounting operational roles then transitioned into information technology by leading ERP implementation teams, with a focus on finance and security and controls work streams, including business process redesign. Her experience in operational and technology roles allows her to discuss information technology risks with a focus on business impact. She works with clients primarily in government and healthcare sectors. In her free time, Owens volunteers in the community through United Way of Greater Los Angeles, where she serves as a member of the Women United Cabinet.
