Ynon Kreiz was tapped chief executive and chair for Mattel Inc. in 2018. Under his watch, Mattel has been capitalizing on its intellectual properties, including the award-winning blockbuster “Barbie” in 2023, which grossed over $1 billion at the box office and earned a Golden Globe for cinematic and box office achievement. The toy giant is also tapping into the theme park business, including ventures in Arizona and Kansas, with attractions based on its most popular intellectual properties. The company inked a deal with OpenAI last June to integrate artificial intelligence in its business operations and product designs. Mattel closed last fiscal year with $1.77 billion in net sales, up 7% year-over-year.
