Linda Michaelson is the practice group leader of Sheppard Mullin’s 200+ attorney Corporate and Securities practice. Michaelson represents individuals, privately held companies and publicly-traded corporations, primarily in the entertainment and digital media, advertising, technology, fashion and apparel, renewable energy, financial services and healthcare industries. Michaelson has led Sheppard Mullin teams involved in the acquisition of companies producing content and providing other services, including for major motion picture studios, television networks, independent production companies, digital media companies and investors, such as Sony Pictures Entertainment, Lionsgate and others. Michaelson advised Sony Pictures in its acquisition of a controlling interest in Industrial Media, whose portfolio includes “90 Day Fiancé,” “So You Think You Can Dance” and “American Idol.” As part of the acquisition, Sheppard Mullin also assisted Sony in bringing on Industrial Media’s CEO as president of nonfiction entertainment and Industrial Media’s president as co-president of nonfiction entertainment for Sony Pictures Television.
