In Friday trading, the Dow Jones industrial average closed up 199 points, or 1 percent, to 16,020.
The Nasdaq rose 29 points to 4,063.
The S&P 500 rose 20 points, or 1 percent, to 1,805.
The LABJ Stock Index rose more than 1 point to 176.
