Lions Gate was ordered by an arbitrator to pay $5.8 million to “Biggest Loser” star Jillian Michaels in part because it aired her workout videos for free on YouTube, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The dispute centered on the way that YouTube streaming can cannibalize of DVD and video-on-demand sales and how contracts executed in one entertainment era are maintained in the next.
TrueCar Adds Pricing Information to eBay Motors
TrueCar launched a price comparison tool on eBay Motors to help car shoppers find pricing information from dealers, according to a press release. The addition will help feed car buyers to TrueCar’s dealer customers.
Lyft Moving to Space in Arts District
Lfyt is moving into a 5,000-square-foot brick building in the Arts District, reports the Los Angeles Downtown News. The space on Santa Fe Avenue will serve as a meeting space for Lyft drivers, and will function as lounge and training location.
