Online ticket seller Fandango is moving 16 employees from San Francisco to its L.A. offices as part of an effort to concentrate its development team, Variety reports. The move affects the technology-management team for movie information app Flixster, which Fandango acquired last year.

SpaceX Nails World’s First Launch, Landing of Reused Rocket

SpaceX landed a used Falcon 9 first-stage rocket on a water barge in the Atlantic Ocean on Thursday — the world’s first flight and landing of a previously launched orbital-class rocket, reports the Business Journal. Reusing rockets over the course of multiple launches is expected to help Space Exploration Technologies Corp. of Hawthorne substantially reduce the cost to launch satellites, cargo, and humans into space.

Snap Pitches Self-Serve Geofilters to Small Businesses

After targeting large brands, Snap Inc. is increasingly pitching its self-serve geofilters to small businesses, reports DigiDay. In December, the company launched its self-serve platform for sponsored geofilters, which allows brands to purchase long-running geofilters over their selected areas by making an annual commitment.

Activision Blizzard Launches High-End Collectibles

Video game publisher Activision Blizzard has launched a line of “Blizzard Collectibles,” including statues, replicas, and artwork designed and produced by the company. The collectible line’s first product is a $150 statue of Widowmaker, a character in the video game “Overwatch.”
