Faraday Future’s unpaid bills are piling up and spurring lawsuits, according to a report by BuzzFeed. The company also designed a car without payment for its partner company, LeEco of China, which sources say is effectively its owner.
Chinese Firm Eyes Acquisition of Flipagram
Flipagram is in talks to be acquired by Chinese news aggregator Toutiao, according to sources reported Recode. Other sources said that Snapchat maker Snap Inc. had discussed acquiring Flipagram in the past, but it is unclear if those conversations are still ongoing.
GumGum Launches TV Signage Valuation Tool
Computer vision company GumGum has launched a sports sponsorship product that analyses the value of branding appearing on television, according to a press release. Teams and advertisers that invest in visible signage that appears across live television, social media, streaming, and in replays can use GumGum Sports to analyze the value of their brands in every frame.
Snap Launches a Tribeca Film Shorts Contest
Snap Inc. and the Tribeca Film Festival have launched a short films contest on Snapchat, reports Variety. Up to 10 films lasting no longer than 120 seconds will be selected by Tribeca to be a part of the festival’s program.
