Elon Musk’s budding tunneling company, Boring Co., showed signs of progress on Thursday as an employee posted an image of what appears to be the company’s first boring machine, reports the Business Journal. The company began work in January on SpaceX’s Hawthorne campus, digging a large pit to experiment with different boring methods.

Sense360, a developer of restaurant customer tracking software, announced on Tuesday that it raised $7 million, reports TechCrunch. The Culver City company’s mobile-phone tracking software compiles location and survey data from diners, which it then sells to fast-food restaurants.
