TeleSign Corp. of Marina del Rey, a developer of user authentication software, announced on Tuesday that it had agreed to be acquired for $230 million in cash by telecommunications company BICS of Belgium. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of this year after regulatory review.

In-home clinical trial software startup Science 37 Inc. raised $29 million, reports TechCrunch. Science 37’s software allows patients to participate in clinical studies in their homes and on their own time instead of through a doctor’s office.
Soylent Recalls Powder After Accidental Mixing with Whey
Soylent voluntarily recalled 890 boxes of its powder meal replacement after it accidentally mixed with whey protein, reports Ars Technica. On its recall notification on the Food and Drug Administration’s website, the company wrote that it has not received any reports of illnesses related to the whey.
