L.A. Dodgers: The Los Angeles Dodgers will accept applications for its second accelerator class until June 10. In exchange for a 6 percent equity stake, the three-month program offers $120,000 as well as mentorship from the Dodgers organization, agency R/GA, and local sports and tech executives.

Burner: Ad Hoc Labs of Los Feliz has updated its anonymous phone app Burner with several new features. The app now auto-archives text messages and contacts into a Google spread sheet, makes calls over Wi-Fi, and allows users to pick their own mobile phone number.

Handlr: Santa Monica business operations platform Handlr has launched. The Web-based platform handles a number of business functions including appointment scheduling, payments, and customer feedback.

L.A. Metro: Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority has launched a ticket-buying app. The app allows passengers to purchase, store, and display tickets on their smartphone. After a one-month pilot program on the Inland Empire-Orange County Line, the app is selling more than 13 percent of all tickets for Metro.

EHarmony: Online dating service eHarmony of Westwood has launched a job search platform. Using questionnaires, resume scans and algorithms, eHarmony wants to deliver better-matched job candidates to hiring companies.

Karma Points: Silver Lake’s Karma Points has launched an app that helps people give to charity. The app allows donors to pick and evaluate charities, and then track how the money is being used.

Gatsby: Santa Monica’s Gatsby has launched its e-commerce discounting platform. To help e-commerce shoppers through the checkout process, the platform gives discounts based on the social media influence of a shopper and whether that shopper has shared about the retailer on social media prior to making a purchase.
