J2 Global Inc. continued its acquisition spree on Monday, announcing that it has acquired MetroFax Inc., a provider of Internet faxing services.
MetroFax is based in Bellevue, Wash. and targets both small business and larger corporate clients with its desktop and mobile apps. J2 Global of Los Angeles did not disclose terms of the deal and said it does not expect the acquisition to have a material financial impact.
J2 Global provides Internet fax, cloud, email, and digital media services. It has been buying competing and complementary businesses to enhance its business and consumer offerings. Last month, its Ziff Davis digital publishing arm bought videogame publisher IGN from News Corp.
Shares closed up 2 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $37.17 on the Nasdaq.
