Fullscreen has entered an exclusive partnership with Qyuki, a multichannel network in India, to tap into the South Asian country’s growing video market.

The cross-Pacific alliance gives Qyuki’s talent direct access to Fullscreen’s resources, including its creator platform to develop, monetize and distribute their content. Qyuki’s content creators will also be able to tap into Fullscreen’s global partnerships and brand services.

“Qyuki has built a strong network and content studio featuring some of India’s most creative and acclaimed talent in music and storytelling,” said Fullscreen President Ezra Cooperstein in a statement. “This partnership will strengthen our global creator network and further empower the next generation of Indian creators with Fullscreen’s global best practices in content creation and monetization.”

By joining forces with Qyuki, Fullscreen has dramatically expanded its global network. The partnership gives the Culver City digital media company a solid foothold in the Asia-Pacific region, an area in which other MCNs, such as recently acquired StyleHaul, has expressed interest. Fullscreen currently has 55,000 content creators that generate 4 billion monthly video views. Its YouTube network has 450 million total subscribers.

Fullscreen’s Indian partnership comes just months after an acquisition by Chernin Group and AT&T’s online video joint venture Otter Media. The deal, estimated to be worth $200 million to $300 million, has fueled rapid growth for Fullscreen. It acquired gaming and comedy studio Rooster Teeth in November.

Qyuki was founded by Indian film director Shekhar Kapur, composer and music producer AR Rahman and executive Samir Bangara. Bangara had a brief stint as managing director of Walt Disney Co.’s digital division in India before co-founding the Mumbai-based MCN.

“We believe we have found a great partner in Fullscreen, which will enable us to not only grow the Indian market rapidly but also present Indian talent at a global scale,” said Bangara, who serves as Qyuki’s managing director, in a statement.
