THE MONEY: Feliciano’s Clearlake Capital, co-founded with fellow Wealthiest Angeleno Behdad Eghbali, has continued its impressive gains. The firm recently told investors that it had exited one company and made eight add-on acquisitions in the second quarter. The firm’s assets under management have remained steady over the year, hovering just above $70 billion.

THE BUZZ: Feliciano began his career in investment banking in the mergers and acquisitions and corporate group at New York-based Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Last year, along with Eghbali and billionaire businessman Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital led a consortium of investments in its acquisition of Chelsea Soccer Club for $5.2 billion last year. Feliciano and Eghbali appear to have high hopes for the team’s future given the value of the team at the time of the purchase was placed at around $3.09 billion in regulatory filings. But the team does appear to be gaining, as Deloitte estimated its value to be around $3.3 billion as of July 2023.
