Sinnott shares a chair position with Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors
founder Richard Kayne. Sinnott joined Kayne Anderson in 1992 and
helped grow the firm’s energy unit into an $18 billion platform at its
height. Sinnott is a director of California Resources Corp., California’s
largest independent oil and natural gas producer. The firm has a total
of $34 billion in assets under management and employs 325 professionals
in its five offices across the United States. Kayne launched its
first mutual fund, Kayne Anderson Renewable Infrastructure Fund, in
2020 and said in 2021 that it manages more than $1.5 billion in renewable
infrastructure marketable securities.
