Emanuel is Hollywood’s $300 million-plus man, given is his compensation, after navigating his sports and entertainment company through an initial public offering a year ago. The IPO valued Endeavor at $10.4 billion at the time. In June, Endeavor bought a stake in startup Obsidianworks, a marketing shop founded by actor Michael B. Jordan and an ex-Nike marketing executive. Though known in Hollywood for its WME talent agency, Endeavor shrewdly diversified, and another driver now is sports, especially its professional mixed martial arts UFC. Emanuel is said to be an inspiration for aggressive agent Ari Gold in Hollywood-set TV series “Entourage.”
