Sports Sponsorship: Herbalife Ltd., the downtown L.A. maker of nutritional supplements, has reached a five-year deal naming the company title sponsor of the Los Angeles Triathlon. The event, produced by Orange’s Pacific Sports LLC, will now be known as Herbalife Los Angeles Triathlon and will next take place Sept. 20. Oakland managed care provider Kaiser Permanente was the previous title sponsor. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Credit Facility: Arden Group Inc., the Compton parent company of the Gelson’s Markets grocery chain, has signed a credit agreement with San Francisco’s Wells Fargo Bank. The $25 million credit facility replaces Arden’s previous credit facility with Wells Fargo.

Moving In: California Landmark, a Westwood-based real estate development and investment company, has broken ground on a residential project in West Los Angeles. The 78-unit apartment complex, at Wilshire Boulevard and Barrington Avenue, will feature retail stores facing Wilshire, and a gym and rooftop garden.

Stocked Up: Gores Group, a Westwood private-equity firm, has increased its controlling interest in Stock Building Supply Holdings LLC by acquiring the minority stake of Wolseley PLC, a Zug, Switzerland-based plumbing and heating supply company. Gores acquired a majority stake in Stock, a Raleigh, N.C.-based building supply business, in 2009. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Legal Team: Glaser Weil Fink Jacobs Howard Avchen & Shapiro LLP, a Century City-based law firm, has absorbed Pruetz Law Group LLP, an El Segundo intellectual property law firm. Litigators and co-founders Adrian and Erica Pruetz, and associates Lauren Gibbs, Charles Koole, Avraham Schwartz and Jessica Wood will be joining Glaser Weil.

Medical Team: Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster has formed a partnership with the USC Institute of Urology to provide robotic surgery for urologic cancers using the da Vinci Si surgical robot at the hospital.
