Charged Up: Trojan Battery Co., a Santa Fe Springs-based battery maker, has secured $100 million in corporate financing with the help of B. Riley & Co., a West L.A. banking firm. Trojan plans to use the money for acquisitions, expansion and working capital.
Move Up: Streamlite Inc., an Atlanta-based shipping business, has moved its L.A.-area office into a larger facility in Santa Fe Springs. The new outpost, at 14051 Stage Road, will be overseen by Gabino Ponce.

Fashion Pickup: Nordstrom Inc., a Seattle-based retail chain, will acquire HauteLook Inc., which specializes in limited-time online sales. Nordstrom will acquire the company for $180 million in Nordstrom stock. The deal also includes a $90 million earn-out if certain performance criteria are met.
BALDWIN HILLS
Game On: Evolve Media Corp., a Baldwin Hills digital media company, has acquired PlayStationLifeStyle.net, a Boston-based fan site for Sony video game consoles. PlayStationLifeStyle will become a part of Evolve’s GameRevolution.com video game network. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bank Takeover: Westlake Village-based First California Bank has taken over San Luis Trust Bank, a San Luis Obispo bank. San Luis, which had $332 million in assets when it was closed in December by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., has reopened as a branch of First California.

Online Retailing: PC Mall Inc., a Torrance-based computer and electronics retailer, has acquired eCost.com, a Plano, Texas-based consumer electronics retailer, in a deal valued at $2.3 million. PC Mall eventually will combine eCost with PC Mall subsidiary OnSale Inc.
EL SEGUNDO
Aerospace Deal: Skytronics Inc., an El Segundo aircraft component manufacturer, distributor and maintenance company, has been acquired by Phillips Service Industries Inc., a Livonia, Mich., technology conglomerate. The deal expands Phillips presence in the aerospace market. Financial terms were not disclosed.
CORRECTION
In the article in the Feb. 21 issue headlined “What’s in a Name?” the company that organized a 2007 auction of Internet domain names was incorrectly identified as Oversee.net. The auction was organized by Moniker, which was later acquired by Oversee.
