Making Splash: LG Chem, a Seoul, South Korea, chemical company, has completed its $200 million acquisition of NanoH2O, an El Segundo maker of seawater desalinization membranes. NanoH2O’s headquarters will remain in El Segundo.

INGLEWOOD

Series B: ImaginAb, a clinical stage biotech company in Inglewood, has raised $21 million in Series B financing. Investment partners include MĂ©rieux DĂ©veloppement, Novartis Venture Funds, Cycad Group and Nextech Invest. ImaginAb harnesses antibody technology to detect diseases in living organisms.

HOLLYWOOD

Record Deal: Amoeba Music has purchased its Hollywood retail building for $13.6 million from LLJ Ventures. Amoeba, which occupies 100 percent of the 50,000-square-foot property at 6400 W. Sunset Blvd., originally acquired the building in 1999, but completed a sale-and-lease-back deal with LLJ in 2009. In buying the building the company exercised an option in the 2009 deal.

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

VAN NUYS

Catching Lift: Jet Edge International, a Van Nuys aircraft charter and management firm, has announced a partnership with Hollywood trade publication Variety to make its fleet available to people attending the Cannes International Film Festival. The company operates large and super midsize Gulfstream aircraft out of California, Florida, New York and Hong Kong. It also serves the French Riviera, home of Cannes.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD

Shot in Arm: IPC the Hospitalist Co. Inc., a North Hollywood manager of hospital-based doctors groups, is acquiring Total Inpatient Services in Sugar Land, Texas. Total Inpatient Services will add about 30,000 patient visits a year. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

WOODLAND HILLS

Charting Course: Woodland Hills’ Viking Cruises has announced it will launch two more ocean-cruising vessels, bringing its seafaring fleet to three ships. The company said that its Viking Sky and Viking Sea will debut in 2016, and sail in Scandinavia, the Baltic, the Mediterranean and British Isles. Viking previously only offered river cruises in Europe, Asia and elsewhere.

PASADENA

Funding Round: Metacloud, a Pasadena cloud service company for businesses, has raised $15 million in Series B funding. New investors include Pelion Venture Partners, Silicon Valley Bank and UMC Capital. The company has reportedly raised $27 million to date, including $2 million in debt.

WESTSIDE

BEVERLY HILLS

Screen Action: RealD Inc., a Beverly Hills provider of 3-D cinema technology, has extended its theater equipment agreement with Space Cinema in Rome. The new deal calls for RealD to outfit 40 additional theaters for the Italian film exhibitor.
