Prior to forming Canyon, Joshua Friedman was director of capital markets for high yield and private placements at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Prior to Drexel, he worked in the mergers and acquisitions department of Goldman Sachs. Friedman is a graduate of Harvard College (BA, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, physics), Oxford University (MA, honors, politics and economics, Marshall scholar), Harvard Law School (JD, magna cum laude), and Harvard Business School (MBA, Baker scholar). Friedman is a director and trustee of a number of nonprofit and charitable organizations.
