Jim Freedman has more than 30 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience, and is an expert in the financial aspects of corporate strategy. In 1982, he founded Barrington Associates, the predecessor to Intrepid Investment Bankers, which was sold to Wells Fargo Securities in 2006. He has advised numerous middle-market companies in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate valuation, and strategic decisions. In addition, he has acted as principal financial adviser in hundreds of capital raisings, and M&A transactions ranging in value from $20 million to $1 billion.

Industry specialization: Business services, consumer products and services, technology and digital media, health care, and industrials.

Deal value range: $25 million to $1 billion.

Recent transactions: Intrepid helped motorcycle adventure travel company EagleRider find the right financial partner to execute its ambitious global expansion plan. Intrepid also served as exclusive financial adviser to Lieberman Research Worldwide, a custom market research and data analytics company, on its private equity recapitalization.
