Real estate developer Steve Soboroff serves as vice president and is a past president of the Los Angeles Police Commission. He is also past chairman and member of the board of the Weingart Foundation, chairman of the executive committee of Friends of Expo Center, and chairman of the ParksSave campaign to preserve funding for Los Angeles parks. Soboroff is also chairman of the Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University, a member of the advisory board at the UCLA School of Public Affairs, a member of the board of councilors at the USC School of Planning and Public Policy, and on the board of Macerich Co. He was vice chairman of the Los Angeles Dodgers, chief executive of Playa Vista, president of the Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Commission, president of the Los Angeles Harbor Commission, and senior adviser to Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan.
