Maureen Kindel

Maureen Kindel is a founder of Kindel Gagan, a downtown lobbying and public affairs firm. She was the first woman to serve as president of L.A.’s Board of Public Works, where she set the tone for the involvement of minority and women-owned businesses in public contracting. Kindel was a founding director of the Los Angeles Business Federation, Los Angeles Business Council, and Pacific Council of Foreign Relations. She has served as chairwoman of the L.A. Chamber Education Committee. Kindel serves as a Regent Emeritus of Loyola Marymount University, chairwoman of the board of visitors at the LMU School of Education, and as a strategic advisor of LMU’s Family of Schools program.
