David Huerta

President, Service Employees International Union, United Service Workers West

David Huerta is president of SEIU-USWW, representing more than 45,000 janitors, security officers, airport workers, and allied and entertainment workers throughout California. It is part of the Service Employees International Union, an organization of 2.2 million members united by the belief in the dignity and worth of workers and the services they provide and dedicated to improving the lives of workers and their families and creating a more just and humane society. He has been with USWW for more than 20 years, working in almost every capacity; beginning as a young organizer, a lead, a coordinator to janitorial division director, then organizing director, staff director, and now president.
