When tech companies and Hollywood get married, where do they settle down?

Apparently in Santa Monica, where a number of tech startups and entertainment companies such as J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. have set up shop in what many consider the heart of Silicon Beach. The two sectors are feeding off the other as many are increasingly consuming media on their digital devices. A lot of the business is being done here.

Santa Monica has seen a development boom in recent years, with investment driven by increased interest from tech and creative companies seeking some of the most prized real estate in Los Angeles County. Pair that with recent transit expansions and the nearby beaches and attractions, and it is leading to a slew of residential, retail and mixed-use projects.

Office space is in high demand as well. Class A office rents there are the highest in the county.
