LA CRESCENTA

Apartments Acquired: An apartment complex in La Crescenta has sold for $5.98 million. The multifamily property, located at 3221-3227 Altura Ave., has 31 units and was built in 1964. The buyer and seller were not identified.




PASADENA

New Partnership: Pasadena-based East West Bank has signed a banking service agreement with the Walnut Valley Water District. The agreement will allow Water District customers to pay their bills at East West branches.

Architecture Award: Gonzalez Goodale Architects, a Pasadena architectural firm, has been honored by the Pasadena/Foothill chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Gonzalez Goodale received a Merit Award for its design of Arcadia Fire Station No. 105.

AGOURA HILLS

Playing Together: THQ Inc., an Agoura Hills publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software, has formed a joint venture with ICE Entertainment, an online game operator in Shanghai, China, to launch an online game called “Dragonica.” The game is scheduled to debut in 2009.


CHATSWORTH

Stock Offering: Capstone Turbine Corp., a Chatsworth manufacturer of microturbines, has raised $29.5 million through an offering of more than 21 million shares of common stock and warrant to buy an additional 6.5 million shares of stock. The company will use the money for product development, corporate growth, and other corporate purposes.


WESTSIDE


PACIFIC PALISADES

Hoosier Purchase: Creo Capital Partners LLC, a Pacific Palisades private equity firm, has acquired the assets of Indiana-based Sataria Distribution and Packaging, a storage and transportation business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.


WEST HOLLYWOOD

New Fare and Facelift: Murano Restaurant & Lounge has reopened after interior renovations with a new menu from Executive Chef Lucian Sautto. The West Hollywood restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine.


BEVERLY HILLS

Office Space: DLD Management Group has bought a Beverly Hills office building for $6.1 million. The single-story 9,293-square-foot property at 121 N. San Vicente Blvd., was built in 1946. The seller was not identified.


MALIBU

Store Opening: Agoura Hills boutique clothing store operator M. Fredric has opened a store at the Malibu Country Mart. The shop is M. Fredric’s 27th store.


SANTA MONICA

Digital Digs: Tsavo Media, a digital media content company, has set up headquarters in Santa Monica at 2525 Main St. Tsavo also has announced the acquisition of Better Inc., an El Segundo Internet search-engine technology business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.


MID-CITIES


HUNTINGTON PARK

Building Bought: Pacific Charter School Development has purchased an industrial building in Huntington Park for $5.2 million. The property, at 6720-6724 S. Alameda St., will be used for a charter school campus. The seller was not identified.


BELL

Retail Purchase: A retail building in Bell has sold for $4.55 million. Tenant Bargain World currently occupies the property, located at 5093 Florence Ave. The buyer and seller were not identified.


CENTRAL AREA


DOWNTOWN L.A.

Industrial Property: The Overland Terminal building was sold for $16.9 million in downtown Los Angeles. The industrial property, at 1807 E. Olympic Blvd., is 420,000 square feet and has 24 loading docks. The buyer and seller were not identified.


BALDWIN VILLAGE

Under Coverage: OriginOil Inc., a Baldwin Village developer of renewable oil from algae, has announced that Beacon Equity Research has initiated coverage of the company. Beacon has issued a “speculative buy” rating.


SAN GABRIEL VALLEY


ARCADIA

Building Deal: An office building in Arcadia has sold for $2.8 million. The 8,483-square-foot building, at 54 E. Foothill Blvd., is part of a trio of buildings that account for over one acre of land.


SOUTH BAY




GARDENA

Staying Put: Primitive Automotive Group Inc. has purchased a Gardena warehouse building from Normandie Realty Co. for $10 million. Primitive, doing business as South Bay Auto Auction, is the tenant of the building and exercised an option to purchase.
