Pilgrim’s Pride Corp., the No. 2 U.S. poultry producer, on Wednesday withdrew its late-January profit forecast as bird flu worries overseas hurt exports and drove down prices for chicken leg quarters.
Pilgrim’s Pride said it would provide a profit outlook for the year in its next quarterly conference call, scheduled for May 2, but acknowledged that results would be weaker than expected.
