Victor DeSantis was named vice
president and director of the science and technology market sector at Leo A Daly, an international architecture, engineering and design firm. DeSantis was previously president of Advanced Laboratory Planning.
HKS Architects Inc., an international architectural firm, has hired Saundra Price-Kish as director of business development in its Los Angeles office. Price-Kish was previously account manager at Old Republic, a national title insurance company.
Scott Shin has joined the Los Angeles office of Jerde Partnership, an international architecture, planning and design firm, as vice president and senior project manager. Shin previously served as a project management consultant for the Judicial Council of California.

Stephen W. Clark has been named vice president and general counsel of the J. Paul Getty Trust. Clark was previously deputy general counsel of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
Banking & Finance
Ernst & Young LLP, an international financial services firm, has named Rich Corgel executive director, and Amy Hawkes and Amanda Massucci partners in its fraud investigation and dispute services team in Los Angeles. They all join the firm from Navigant Consulting Inc., a consulting firm. Corgel and Massucci were previously managing directors. Hawkes was a director.
Wachovia has named Ryan Dietz regional director, Rosalie Domingo project manager and Mark Markarian senior relationship manager at its Century City office. Dietz was previously a wealth management consultant at Wells Fargo. Domingo previously worked on the development team in the Wachovia wealth management unit. Markarian was a senior private banker at Wells Fargo.

Peter R. Bahruth has been promoted
to vice president of Clune Construction, a commercial general contractor specializing in renovations and interiors in downtown Los Angeles. Bahruth was previously a superintendent.
The Los Angeles office of STV, a planning, design and construction company for infrastructure, transportation systems and buildings, has hired Mark A. Peterson as vice president with the firm’s national transportation and infrastructure division. Peterson previously served as vice president of Hanson-Wilson Inc., a railway company.
Law
The Los Angeles office of the international law firm Reed Smith LLP has named Jinshu John Zhang as partner in its corporate and securities group. Zhang was previously a shareholder in the Los Angeles office of the law firm Greenberg Traurig.

Bruce Lomet has been named director of production for feature film services at Company 3 in Santa Monica. Lomet was previously senior producer at Technicolor Digital Intermediate, a digital design business.
Univision Communications Inc., a Spanish-language media company in the United States, has hired Jeff Browning as West Coast national sales manager for its L.A. stations, KMEX-TV (Channel 34) and KFTR-TV (Channel 46). Browning was previously director of West Coast sales for Spike TV.
Non-Profit
The California Association of Private Special Education Schools, a non-profit association of non-public schools, organizations and individuals working with special education programs, has appointed Mishelle Ross Owens to the board. Owens is chief program officer for the Kayne Eras Center, a Culver City-based organization that provides special education programs and services.
Michael Collins has been named chairman of the Salvation Army’s Los Angeles metropolitan advisory board. Collins is an executive at LA Inc., formerly the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP has hired Lee Norman as managing director in its Los Angeles office. Norman was previously principal of George Smith Partners, a West Coast-based investment banking firm.
Alfred Pace has been named co-chairman of the Los Angeles office of Urban Housing Group, a company that develops multifamily and mixed-use communities in California and Washington. Pace is co-founder, president and chief executive of Pacific Property Co., a real estate investment company.
Cushman & Wakefield has named Cybele L. Thompson director of the firm’s client solutions group in its Los Angeles office. Thompson was previously vice president and general manager with Trizec Properties/CarrAmerica, a private equity firm.
Michael Weiss has been promoted to senior managing director of the Southern California Financial Group of Studley, an international commercial real estate services firm. Weiss was previously corporate managing director at the firm’s Southern California financial group.

Gramicci, an outdoor lifestyle apparel designer, has hired Natalie Sichko as
associate designer for the women’s line. Sichko was previously assistant designer for Perry Ellis International, an apparel and accessories designer.
Elizabeth Thomas has been named chief marketing officer of Charm and Luck, a Gardena-based women’s accessory retailer. Thomas previously served as chief marketing officer and chief operations officer for Junior Drake handbags.
Kudos
George C. Halvorson, chairman and chief executive of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, has received the Partners in Care’s 2008 Mathies Award. The award, given to a leader in the professional health care community every year, will be presented April 28 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Partners in Care is a non-profit that creates, tests and implements new models of health care services.
