The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Los Angeles area continued to climb, rising 16 cents to $3.428 for the week ended May 8, according to the Energy Information Administration.
L.A. prices are 91 cents higher than they were a year ago. Statewide, prices rose 13 cents from the previous week to $3.332, up 81 cents from a year earlier.
