Frank Symons is the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Western Region for Sotheby’s International Realty. He joined the company in 1995 to build its first Western Region office in Beverly Hills. He has since helped establish 26 offices for the real estate firm throughout the Western region, as well as helped Sotheby’s expand by acquiring real estate firms throughout California. Symons previously owned his own brokerage firm, Frank Symons Realtors. He is a member and past president of the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors. He served as director of the California Association of Realtors and was named director with the National Association of Realtors in 2015.

What is your next project?
At my level of operation with Sotheby’s International Realty, most projects are confidential in nature. However, my focus is always on our agents, providing them with the latest resources in technology and marketing tools in order for them to be their most successful.
Who is your hero?
My father. He was a developer in the San Fernando Valley and had the foresight to see the housing needs in Los Angeles at a time when growth was very much a new frontier. This was something I always greatly admired and have aspired to implement into my own career.
What do you like best about Los Angeles?
Los Angeles is a cultural trendsetter and truly an international city. The diversity of the people, communities, and opportunities are second to none.
