Innovo Group Inc.’s shares gained 28 percent for the week ending July 13 after the fashion house posted better-than-expected first-quarter earnings. Shares in the City of Commerce-based company closed the week at $2.29.

Shares of media company Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. gained 26 percent after the Los Angeles-based company said it is mulling a sale. Shares closed at $6.45.

Another big gainer was 99 Cents Only Stores Inc., which got a 10 percent boost after the City of Commerce-based discount retailer reported solid same-store-sales for the first quarter.

On the way down were Fremont General Corp., which lost 10 percent, and IndyMac Bancorp Inc., which lost 7 percent, after a slew of subprime debt was downgraded by several credit agencies. Fremont Shares closed at $10.48 while IndyMac closed at $28.96.

Also down was California Pizza Kitchen Inc., which lost 8 percent after the casual dinning chain cut its second quarter outlook. Shares closed at $20.60.
