Jason Tokoro is a complex commercial litigator with extensive experience in the entertainment, professional sports, real estate, and financial industries. He has represented a multitude of movie studios including Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures, and Fortune 500 land development companies, Lennar Corporation and Toll Brothers. He also has represented a variety of pro-sports companies and promoters.
Among his many high profile clients, Tokoro serves as outside litigation counsel for LA County and its Board of Supervisors. He spearheaded county enforcement of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s emergency health orders and defended lawsuits challenging these orders amid COVID-19, including contact-tracing, stay-at-home and indoor service restrictions. His victories have ensured the protection of county residents and set precedents that will be followed statewide, including a case in which an escape room company sued the State of California and Los Angeles County. The shutdown remained in place after the business was deemed non-essential.
